New landloard / Landlady October 2002. Very nice people (even if they are fronm Yorkshire). :-) No I mean it, John and his wife (sorry I forgot your name even though we chatted for 15 minuteus at the end of the Children In Need evening). The Unicorn might get back to what it was over 10 years ago when Dave and Maria (Neil) had it. Busy all the time.

Also has an upstairs Function Room for private hire - weddings, christenings etc.

May 2002 sees plans to demolish Moorbrook, Unicorn and The Duke Of Kent for a retail development park.
A petition was signed by 700 locals and it's possible the Unicorn and Moorbrook are saved, but there has been no objection about the Duke Of Kent which is now closed (Nov 2002).
